UNC vs. West Virginia: How to WatchThe Tar Heels are in Charlotte to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers later this evening in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. The last time the Heels participated in this bowl game, South Carolina sent them home packing and their coach got covered in mayonnaise. I’ll be honest, I don’t know that Mack Brown is super excited at the prospect of getting covered in mayo, but I do know this: it would be a good look to end the season on a high note by beating the Mountaineers, especially after a season with so much promise essentially played out very similar to last season.
Since Drake Maye has turned his attention the NFL Draft, all eyes will be on freshman QB Conner Harrell. He will be competing with Texas A&M transfer Max Johnson for the starting QB job next season, so this game will be the perfect opportunity to see what he’s got. It will also be interesting to see if UNC’s defense will be able to hold back a Mountaineers team that will be without their leading rusher and four wide receivers. Simply put, the winner of this game will be the team that had just enough of their regular season team show up to Charlotte, though who knows? We may get a few surprises from players that haven’t seen much playing time yet.
